Terms and Conditions for Invisible Accountant

Last Updated: 29 August 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Invisible Accountant via WhatsApp, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

2. Description of Service

Invisible Accountant is an automated digital bookkeeping tool designed to help users comply with HMRC's Making Tax Digital (MTD). We process receipts sent via WhatsApp and submit them to HMRC via their official APIs.

3. Taxpayer Legal Liability (Crucial Disclaimer)

You, the taxpayer, retain absolute and sole legal responsibility for the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of your tax returns.

4. HMRC OAuth Authorization

To use the service, you must authorise Invisible Accountant via HMRC’s secure OAuth 2.0 portal. By doing so, you grant us permission to view and update your tax obligations. You acknowledge that you can revoke this access at any time via your HMRC account settings.

5. Service Availability & HMRC API Limitations

Our ability to submit your taxes relies entirely on the availability of HMRC’s external APIs. We cannot guarantee uninterrupted access and we are not liable for missed tax deadlines or penalties caused by HMRC Developer Hub downtime, API outages, or WhatsApp network failures.

6. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.
